Main Building Playbook
How survivors use it and how killers break it.
Core Concepts
- Main building is an anchor, not a permanent home.
- Its value comes from layered options: LOS breaks, windows, elevation, and re-entry timing.
- Strong killers punish players who loop main predictably for too long.
Survivor Playbook
- Use main to stabilize bad chases, then rotate out before the route is solved.
- Keep one emergency entry route unspent for death-hook states.
- Abandon main if your exit lanes are already cut; distance beats greed.
Killer Playbook
- Do not brute-force best window chain repeatedly; deny exits and force bad drops.
- Break nearby pallets/walls that convert main from safe to manageable.
- Hook near main only when it increases objective pressure, not just because it is close.
Common Mistakes
- Survivor: looping one window cycle until trapped.
- Survivor: running to main from every chase regardless of position.
- Killer: overcommitting main while other objectives complete for free.
Quick Checklist
- Use main as a tempo reset, not infinite value.
- Track exit lane safety each loop.
- Rotate before route is fully conditioned.
- Convert pressure around main into objective gains.
